The felted snowman measures about 3.5-inch/8.89-cm from the base to the top of its hat. Knitting begins at the bottom of the snowball working upwards to the top, changing yarn color for the hat, and finishing by picking up stitches for the hat's brim. The snowman is knit as one continuous piece. No sewing required. Once felted, the snowman's face is embellished with felt cheeks, button eyes and mouth, and your choice of either a roving cherry or clay carrot nose.
Skill Level: Beginning to intermediate knitter, requires double point needle experience.
Materials: worsted weight 100% wool yarn in cream and black, size 10.5 double point needles, wool roving, wool batt, fiberfill, pink felt, black buttons, red roving or orange oven-bake clay
