A knit-only holiday ornament design; a PDF-format.
This holiday season create a tree full of sweater-like ornaments! The pattern gives instructions for 3 cable-knit ornaments.
The ornament is knit as one continuous piece. No sewing of seams is necessary. Knitting begins at the bottom and moves up towards the top. A clear, plastic, craft-store ornament is inserted into the knitted piece and the final stitches are synched tight around the ornament’s plastic neck. The crowning touch is the metal wire cap hanger.
Skill Level: Intermediate, requires double point needle experience and knitting in the round.
Materials: #4 medium worsted weight wool yarns in various colors, size US 4 double point needles, cable needle, clear plastic craft store ornaments, poly-pellets for weighting the ornament (optional).
