A Knit and Felt Rabbit Pincushion Design.
Spring has sprung! April’s pincushion is the perfect month for a litter of freshly knit rabbits. The felted rabbit measures about 5-inches tall (including the ears) with arms ready for holding a bunch of carrots. A quick and easy project for the knitting and quilting enthusiast in your life!
The felted rabbit is knit as one continuous piece. The pattern begins at the base, creating an opening to later be used for stuffing, and works upward to the top. The rabbit’s feet, ears and arm stitches are each individually picked up then knit. Once felted, the face is embellished using simple embroidery and needle felting. Decorative pins are the final accent to the finished pincushion.
Your rabbit will be soon ready to hop on into the arms of a special someone!
